Volunteer Services & Opportunities
Volunteering is such a rewarding experience! Volunteers will learn how to meet and work with others and adapt to several different surroundings.
They will be able to share experiences and talents with other individuals while learning the dynamics of contributing to a team atmosphere. Volunteer hours are flexible. They can be structured to meet the individual needs of each volunteer, and the time they wish to dedicate to Franklin United Methodist Community.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Retirees
- High School or College Students
- Families
- Children 16 or older
- Individuals or Groups
- Organizations
- Anyone who wants to give to others!
Volunteers provide additional care and attention. They provide the "extras" that enhance the quality care given by our staff. Although all residents within our Community are encouraged to remain as active and independent as possible, we understand illness or disability sometimes prevents residents from meeting this goal. Volunteers may perform simple tasks or visit with someone who might need companionship. As simple as the task may be, volunteers play a vital role in our Community.
Volunteers help in all areas of our Community and aid in the care and attention to all residents. This is done by visiting, running errands, writing letters, reading, acting as a companion with conversation, and meeting many other needs for the residents. Tasks are assigned depending on need, interests, and availability. All tasks are fully instructed to the volunteer before beginning.
