Independent Living
Each of us strives to be independent. From the time we are born until our last days, we desire and work towards being on our own – in control.
Franklin United Methodist Community understands that need and desire and does everything in their power to provide opportunities for independence, while keeping services in place, should they be needed.
A resident said, "Indeed, we came because aging creates the need for many support services – offered with love and compassion". However, their lifestyle choice has allowed them great independence in a lovely cottage and involvement in many activities, leadership roles, and volunteerism.
Another note received from a family member said, mom has always appreciated the "stimulating and enriching community here at FUMC".
That is indeed our goal: to help our older adult friends maintain their independence and function as the highest practical level, irregardless of their age or condition.
Our Community offers Independent Homes and Cottages and Independent Residential Apartments, for those who still enjoy some of the basics of living independently, while benefiting from a supportive community of friends and staff who are just a phone call away.
